Under the lights at Molineux, Leeds United completed a remarkable comeback to secure a crucial three points away against Wolverhampton Wanderers in the Premier League.

The Whites came back from two goals down at halftime to score three goals in the second half to win, thanks to goals from Jack Harrison, Rodrigo, and Luke Ayling’s winner in stoppage time.

Within the first 10 minutes of the game, both teams swapped scary moments.

To deny Daniel Podence a clean chance on goal at close range, Adam Forshaw tracked back wonderfully and put in a great challenge.

Leeds broke up the pitch in the next assault, thanks to Forshaw’s excellent performance.

Dan James was played in by a huge header from Jack Harrison on the half-way line, which allowed the winger to race forward and cross into the box, where Rodrigo volleyed narrowly wide at the near post.

Still in the first ten minutes of the game, Podence managed to get a shot off, but Illan Meslier, who had to keep a close eye on the swerving ball, handled it brilliantly.

Patrick Bamford had another chance within this quick opening, controlling well in the box but shooting wide.

Due to injuries, both teams would be forced to make an early substitution.

For United, Bamford was replaced by Sam Greenwood, while Ruben Neves was forced to leave the field and was replaced by Francisco Trincao.

The hosts took the lead shortly after the changes.

A fast break down the wing found Trincao in space, and he pulled the pass back for Jonny to blast into the bottom corner of the net.

After Wolves took the lead, the game became a bit of a stop-start affair.

There were numerous stoppages in various sections of the pitch, and the early tempo had been slowed.

The home side’s substitution was having a big impact on the game, and when he came forward again, he nearly increased the lead.

Trincao hit a 25-yard left-footed shot that cannoned back out off the post, with Meslier beaten at full-stretch, just after eight minutes of additional time had been announced following the stoppages.

Another injury-forced substitution for the Whites would come late in the extra time.

Mateusz Klich was pulled off the field with a head injury, and Charlie Cresswell was brought in as a concussion replacement.

Wolves added a second goal before the break, scoring in the 11th minute of added time, to cap off a long first 45 minutes.

Trincao would score again, this time from the edge of the box with a left-footed strike.

Wolverhampton Wanderers lead Leeds United 2-0 at half-time.

Within five minutes of the start of the second half, there was another major talking topic.

Raul Jimenez was shown a second yellow card and sent off for another late challenge, this time on Meslier, after being booked for the same offense in the first half.

The Leeds United goalkeeper was hurt as a result of the incident, forcing the Whites to make a fourth injury-forced change, with Kristoffer Klaesson making his Premier League debut in goal.

Luke Ayling was superbly passed into the box on the wing after the hour mark, and he handled the situation well before sending a shot against the post.

Harrison was alert enough to fire home on the third try after the rebound came back out to him but was blocked again!

Just minutes later, the game was leveled, thanks to pure perseverance and hard work.

Greenwood won the ball back in the box after James’ original shot had gone over the bar and produced a chance for Rodrigo, who would shoot home after running around the keeper and blasting in low to make it two apiece.

With only five minutes left before additional time was displayed, a huge opportunity to complete the turnaround presented itself.

Harrison was brought in down the wing and pulled the ball across the box, where James turned the ball goalwards only to have his shot blocked for a corner.

Barely seconds later, Jose Sa would be forced into action to make a fantastic save after Harrison cut in from the right and chose to shoot, forcing the ‘keeper to tip the ball just over.

Leeds were not to be denied a memorable and sensational comeback in the dying few seconds of the game to take all three points.

Ayling looked to head back across goal after Harrison had played a pass deep into the penalty area.

Pascal Struijk came the closest and appeared to have the upper hand, but Ayling was alert enough to regain control and slam home through the legs of Sa in the Wolves goal!

The last-gasp victory caused wild celebrations on the pitch and in the stands, securing another crucial three points for Jesse Marsch and Leeds United ahead of the international break.
