A young mom shared videos of her life with the world on TikTok before she was tragically found dead outside her Newcastle home.
A young mother who was allegedly stabbed more than 20 times posted heartbreaking pleas for help on social media days before her death.
Mackenzie Anderson, 21, made a desperate plea for help to police before she was found unresponsive outside her Newcastle home at around 10:40 p.m. Friday.
The young woman’s ex-partner, Tyrone Thompson, 22, is accused of triggering the horrific attack after breaking into her home.
He was arrested and taken to John Hunter Hospital to treat cuts on his hands before being charged on Sunday with murder, breach of an AVO and aggravated entry to a dwelling with intent.
Ms. Anderson obtained an AVO for her former partner.
She posted videos of her son, calling him “my bug” and “caterpillar,” as well as videos with her new boyfriend and his friends.
One of the videos was captioned “falling in love with life again” as she ran on the beach with a friend during a sunset.
Her friend Alice McEvoy posted a tribute to Ms. Anderson described the young woman as her “best friend and sister” on Monday morning.
“My heart is completely broken,” she wrote in the caption of the video, which included a collection of photos and videos of Ms. Anderson.
“Kenz, I will always defend my godson and fight for your justice. I’m in love with you. This is not a farewell, but rather a see you later.”
Thompson was formally charged with murder, entry with intent and violation of a domestic violence order apprehended Sunday.
He appeared briefly via video link in Newcastle Local Court on Monday, but did not enter a plea or request bail. It was formally denied.
